| Self-Assessment | ||||||||
| The first stage includes developing a thorough personal work profile by assessing accomplishments, transferable skills and abilities. Building self-knowledge helps each participant market themselves confidently and competently. | ||||||||
| Sourcing the Hidden Job Market | ||||||||
| Participants will learn how to access the hidden job market, which contains 80% of today's jobs! | ||||||||
| Self-Marketing Strategies | ||||||||
| Participants will be trained to understand and use features and benefits sales techniques, and will also develop a thirty second Professional Promo. | ||||||||
| Current Job Search Tools | ||||||||
| Participants will create an accomplishment and skills based resume as well as powerful and customized correspondence. In addition, each participant will have the opportunity to create a job seeker's calling card. | ||||||||
| Contacting Employers | ||||||||
| Participants will learn how to effectively market themselves to employers, and how to make contact with the decision makers. Participants will be trained in a 5-step process on how to contact employers including researching, developing a target list of employers, contacting hiring managers, keeping records and conducting follow-ups. | ||||||||
| Preparing for the Interview | ||||||||
| Participants will learn the techniques and preparation skills to make a positive impression at the interview. In addition, each participant will be interviewed on camera by an HR professional. | ||||||||
