PRIVACY POLICY
Ball Lange & Associates Inc.
(including it’s wholly owned subsidiary Emergency Care
Instruction Services (ECIS)) hereinafter called The
Company, respects the privacy of individuals in all aspects
of its business operations. It is our commitment to protect
the personal information of our clients. Personal
information is collected, used and disclosed by The Company
in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
PERSONAL
INFORMATION COLLECTED
Clients of The Company are asked for specific
information in order to provide desired services. Such
information will vary depending upon the desired service and
may include date of birth, social insurance number, contact
information details (address, phone, fax, e-mail, etc.),
resume, job search interests, and reference contact
information. Client files may include: interview notes,
reference and background checks and letters, education
information, program participation records including
quizzes, personality type profiles, evaluations etc. The
Company never collects more personal information than is
needed to meet the specific purpose of the client requested
service. Programs which The Company conducts under contract
to Human Resources Skills Development (HRSD) require the
collecting and submission of specific information included
in the list above.
DISCLOSURE OF
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal Information is only used for legitimate
business reasons while meeting legal and legislated
requirements. In the normal course of business, personal
information will be provided to HRSD, approved contracted
agents of HRSD, and perspective employers with the consent
of the client.
CLIENT
CONSENT
Client’s reading of this policy and engagement of
Company services including the providing of personal
information, implies consent to the collection, use and
disclosure of personal information as outlined in this
policy. As necessary express consent shall be obtained for
particular uses and disclosures. Such disclosures include
forwarding resumes to perspective employers, however does
not include information requested and required for
enrollment in Government sponsored programs. Unless
specifically requested not to, consent is implied to check
references when such contact information is submitted to The
Company by the client.
INFORMATION RETENTION
Information is retained for a period of one (1) year after
the completion of services for a client. Clients wishing to
have their resume kept on file by The Company beyond this
period for consideration must advise The Company in writing
indicating the duration requested.
PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURITY
Client information is stored on secure computer systems,
password protected, accessible only on a need to know basis.
Necessary hard copy documents are secured in locked file
cabinets accessible only to those with a need to know.
Company facilities are alarm protected and monitored by a
registered monitoring agency with contact to police services
as required. Company staff is trained in proper handling
procedures of all information.
CLIENT
ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION
Clients may at any time make a written request for access to
their personal information. At a mutually convenient time,
clients will have the opportunity to view their information
that is on file. Clients may write to the address below to
advise of any change, update or information no longer
relevant so that records may be updated.
